Welcome to my blog!

I am a senior student major in engineering psychology and studio art from Tufts University. Besides doing art and design in my life, I am a food blogger on instagram (@hofooshism). I know I might be annoying sometimes when taking tons of pictures before eating the food. But, I do know there are people who enjoy browsing delicious food pictures, then my foodie instagram account should be your right target! This increasingly popular phenomenon is even named as "Camera eats first" with a wikipedia page.
Food bloggers have big influences as other bloggers in other fields do, which are both positive and negative. From my own experience, I realize some restaurants become like commodities waiting to be promoted, and bloggers play the role of customers, sales or even potential designers. The role of a food blogger and relationship between bloggers and restaurants will be one of my topics I am interested in relating.
In general, on this blog, I will discuss my interests with latest news including topics like human factor and machine, system and interface design. But I want to highlight that my main interest is computer interaction and interface design. I will also indulge in my study abroad experience in London last year, reflecting back to my design learning experience in a professional design school.
Automation is an inevitable trend, which has applied in so many areas ranging from small business, restaurant with iPad ordering food, to big business, tech company with invention of autonomous vehicle. The pace of development is so much faster than we can imagine, thus learning this topic is especially crucial nowadays in order to get a better sense of what's happening around the world and around our life. It is in fact having implicit influence on our decision making, such as our choice of job in the future while many jobs have been and will be replaced by machines. Coding may seem to be a scary new thing several years ago, but now even kids in a primary school are encouraged or even required to master this skill. It seems like dealing with machines will eventually become a necessary tool for everyone. It is important to understand the relationship between human and machine system including ethical, societal and other kinds of concern.
