James is a professor of engineering at Tufts University and teaches ENP 162 course in this fall semester. As a professor in this course, he expects to receive great and creative works from students. A good portfolio site is the foundation of placing all the good projects in the future. He would like to see a portfolio site with amazing design and some automations.

Kate
Kate is an experienced recruiter from tech industry and is able to reach my site after I applied online for an internship in her company. She expects to see a professional portfolio with a user-friendly design. She looks forward to seeing different creative projects and innovative approaches to problems.
Information Architecture
My main audience would be professor, TA in my class, and recruiters from tech industry, so I organized my content into three simple categories - "ABOUT", "PORTFOLIO" and "BLOG" so that my users can easily navigate to the section they want to go.

Brand
I would like my audience to perceive my website as user-friendly, effective and clean. I made my navigating bar intuitive by placing it on the top of every page. With only three categories, it is easy enough to navigate between them. Then, I chose royal blue, my favorite color, as the main color to stand contrast with white background. The consistency of colors and fonts throughout my site would help strength my website's professional quality. Recruiters are paying attention a lot to details not only the quality of project but also the overall layout of my website. I believe that making improvements consistently is important, so I will keep gaining feedbacks from my audience.

Automation
I created a chat box on the lower right of every page for the convenience of my audience. Some audience may want to save the time to log in to comment on my blog post, so they can easily reach me through the chat box and leave any comments and feedbacks. This chat box can also possibly help me receive more messages from my audience who are too shy or uncomfortable to make their comments public under my blog post, or from those who only want to share advice about my portfolio part. In the WiX automation section, it has a function of automating the sending of emails to me immediately after someone sends me messages through the chat box. This function can help me be responsive to my audience and serve as a way to back up all comments from different people.
